You can use only a single Wine installation and PlayOnLinux set for you the variable WINEPREFIX.įor each WINEPREFIX, you have a custom wine registry.Īll wineprefix are save to ~/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix Select HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Explorer\Desktops\Taskbar and right click > Modify. On the right side, right click > New > String Value Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Explorer\Desktops If the key 'Explorer' does not exist you create a new key (right click)

(Doom 2016 (from Steam) requires the 32 and 64 bits wine version with Vulkan support. If you like this addon, dont forget to click on the Like Button at top right corner. The registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Explorer\Desktops\Taskbar works only if you have compiled Wine with the patch! This addon makes the wow icon on windows task bar flash/blink (like the picture below) when WoW window inst in focus (the window is minimized or you have another window in focus such like internet browser) and some events happen in the game. Using PlayOnLinux, you can customize the registry for each program, and manage several wine version (for example your wine version with the taskbar patch). I just use PlayOnLinux with my custom wine installation.
